The Major Sins (Kitab al-Kaba’ir) by Imam Shams al-Din al-Dhahabi, the 8th-century Hijri hadith scholar and historian of Damascus, is one of the best-known Islamic works on sin and repentance. Fiqh of Nikah
Fiqh of Nikah is a live online course on the Islamic rulings of marriage, taught from the Book of Marriage (Kitab al-Nikah) in al-Rawd al-Murbi by Shaykh Mansur ibn Yunus al-Buhuti, according to the Hanbali school. It is a clear, structured introduction for anyone beginning their study of the fiqh of family law.
What you will learn
The ruling on marriage, its wisdom, and the etiquettes of seeking a spouse
The pillars and conditions of a valid marriage contract, including the wali, consent, and witnesses
The women whom it is prohibited to marry, and the conditions that may be placed in the contract
The rulings of the mahr and the walimah
The rights and responsibilities of spouses and the etiquettes of married life
Along the way, students are introduced to the study of fiqh and the four madhhabs, with evidences from the Quran and Sunnah and key scholarly statements.
